MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. - On Senior Day, host St. Thomas (9-2-1, 6-2 TSC) topped Webber International (7-3, 5-3 TSC) 1-0 at Bobcat Field.

The Bobcat seniors that were honored were: Cristina Garwacki, Amyah Banks, Karina Velazquez, Sharon Tejeda, Sarah Lyppert Thomsson, Jannel Johnson, Chelsea Trost, Alexa Rivera, and Taylor Malone.

The first half, and the game itself, did not produce many goals although there were a lot of intense and close calls that went both ways.

The only goal of the game came from STU newcomer Eva Castano Candela, as Johnson sparked the play with an assist while the Spaniard brought the fire with the goal. This goal, in the 60th minute, marked her fifth on the season.

Senior goalkeeper Garwacki earned her sixth shutout on the season, as she capped off her regular season play on STU grounds.

Next up for the Bobcats is a road conference match-up in Miramar, Fla. against crosstown rivals Florida Memorial on Wednesday, October 25 at 5 p.m.
