THOMASVILLE, GA. – St. Thomas (3-5, 3-0 TSC) zoom past conference opponent Thomas (3-3, 1-3 TSC) by a final score of 67-58 on Saturday afternoon.
It was
Samara Auguste's day as she recorded a career-high 28 points which helped steer the Bobcats to its second straight win and improve to a perfect 3-0 in conference play.
The first half had St. Thomas up 27-24 as Auguste netted two of her four three-pointers of the game in the first half. She would go on to earn 10 of her 28 points in the first half as well.
The second half had STU pick up the pace on the offensive end as 17 and 23 points were scored in the final two quarters of play, respectively.
It was a much needed close out for the Bobcats as the win was solidified with a big fourth quarter.
Notable numbers on the day for St. Thomas came from Auguste (28 points, four three pointers, seven rebounds and six steals),
Katie Rienas (12 points, six rebounds and five steals) and
Keiana Brooks (four rebounds, eight points and seven assists).
The Bobcats closed out the Georgia road trip with two much needed conference wins.
Next up for St. Thomas is a road conference match against Keiser on Thursday, December 7 at 5:30 p.m. in West Palm Beach, Fla.
