MIAMI GARDENS, Fla-- No. 12 St. Thomas (15-7) took down the Fighting Saints (5-7) 13-1 on Monday night.
Rene Arauz got the start for the Bobcats and pitched a masterful six innings of work, striking out eight Fighting Saints, while surrendering just a run and three hits. He set the tone on the defensive side of the ball, allowing Bobcat hitters to get back into the dugout to add run support.Â
The offense came out swinging early, scoring four runs in the first inning. They would add two more runs in the third inning, before finally breaking the game wide open the next inning, with a six spot on the scoreboard in the fourth. Key contributors to the offense were

Randy Oliva, and
James Spatafora.Â
Rivera went 2-for-5 with 2 RBI. Centeno keeps on hitting, as the second baseman went 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Oliva and Spatafora each contributed with 2 RBI each.
