BOBCATS ROUT ROYALS WITH 6 GOALS IN TSC MATCH

MIAMI GARDENS, FLA.- St. Thomas (4-1, 2-0 TSC) netted a flurry of goals against conference opponents Warner (2-2-2, 1-1 TSC) by a final score of 6-0 to keep a perfect record in The Sun Conference late Saturday night.

The team scored a season-high six goals in the game as they took down WU with ease. Five different Bobcats earned a spot on the score card, as Pablo Gill tallied a brace.

The first goal came in the 20th minute as Tomas Greco fed a crisp pass to striker Artur Sharapov. He opened the scoring for STU, his second goal on the season, and this only marked the beginning of an eventful night.

The second and fourth goal both came off the foot of Gill as he earned his second and third goal on the season during the 25th and 49th minutes. Both goals were assisted by Konstantinos Mylonas, the Greek who would net later on in the game.

Jon Quintana recorded his first goal of the year in the 26th minute off an assist from Gill, a rip to the back of the net to add on to the montage of goals.

Mylonas rocketed one past the keeper in the 52nd minute, as he placed it perfectly in the upper 90 corner. The score line read 5-0 and the Bobcats had room for one more goal.

Danny Martinez closed out the scoring for STU as a corner kick from Spiridon Karidis landed perfectly on the head of Martinez in the 85th minute to ensure a victory for the Bobcats.

Starting goalkeeper Robert Barton kept his second clean sheet of the season as he now holds a solid 4-0 record on the season.

Next up for the Bobcats is a conference match away against Thomas on Saturday, September 30 at 4 p.m.
