DOMINANT WIN FOR BOBCATS IN LAKE WALES

LAKE WALES, Fla. - St. Thomas (6-0-1, 3-0 TSC) remained undefeated with a resounding 5-0 win over host Warner (2-4, 1-3 TSC).

Jannel Johnson and Alexa Leizorek each scored two goals to pace the offensive attach for the Bobcats.  Kortney Hinden also scored for the visiting St. Thomas as the Bobcats controlled the match from beginning to end.

Johnson scored two goals to bring her season goal total to nine on the season through seven games. Leizorek's two goals both came in the second half.

Hinden opened the scoring with a goal in the 29th minute after a scoreless start for both teams.

Johnson followed Hinden's goal with a strike just one minute later to give the Bobcats a 2-0 lead.

After halftime, Johnson found the back of the net again with a goal in the 54th minute to give STU a 3-0 advantage.

Leizorek then scored off an assist by Andrea Manzur in the 62nd minute followed by her second goal on a penalty kick in the 74th minute.

The STU defense held the Royals to just six shots, which proved sole dominance in the match.

Starting goalkeeper Cristina Garwacki recorded the shutout on the night with four saves, her fourth on the season.

The Bobcats return to action with a home match vs. USCB on Saturday at Bobcat Field beginning at 2 p.m.
