STU DEFENSE NOT ENOUGH IN LOSS TO (RV) KU

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – St. Thomas University's Men Soccer team (3-5-2, 2-1-2 TSC) fell in Sun Conference action against (RV) Keiser University (7-2-1, 3-1 TSC) by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday night from Bobcat Field.

The majority of the first half saw both the Bobcats and the Seahawks trading shots but never able to capitalize on opportunities. However, before the time on the clock faded to zero to send the clubs into the half at 0-0, Keiser scored a go-ahead goal with only mere seconds on the clock to take a 1-0 lead into the break.

St. Thomas's offense did not stay down for much longer after the break, as Nicolo Dallomo netted an equalizer in the 64th minute to tie the game at 1-1. The goal was assisted by Harry Taylor and for Dallomo, it was his first goal of the season for St. Thomas.

Keiser responded to the Bobcats goal by netting their second goal, which turned out to be the game-winning goal in the 75th minute of the game, to take a 2-1 lead over STU with only 15 minutes left in regulation. KU iced the game and closed out St. Thomas with a third goal, this time in the 88th minute to create a nearly impossible lead to overcome with such little time left in the match.

For the Bobcats, it was their first regulation conference loss since November 1st, 2016 a span of 14 matches in Sun Conference play.
St. Thomas will be back in action on Saturday, October 6th from Vizacaya Park taking on Florida Memorial University with the match set to begin at 7 p.m.
