BOBCATS SWEEP SEAHAWKS IN CONFERENCE SHOWDOWN

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.- St. Thomas (8-21, 7-13 TSC) swept conference rival Keiser (20-16, 0-0 TSC) in a midday double header on Saturday afternoon at Jacquelin J. Kelly Field.

The final score of the first game of the doubleheader resulted in a 3-2 Sun Conference win for the Bobcats, while the second game ended in in a 7-4 victory.

It was Alliyah Sands that exploded on offense for the home side as she totaled 4-for-7 on the day with four runs. Two of her four hits came in the form of a double.

On the mound, Jennifer Acevedo pitched from beginning to end in the first and she only allowed two runs on 31 batters faced. Emily Santos pitched a complete game on her way to five K's in the second game.

Game one consisted of just one RBI as Michelle Murch brought in a run on a ground out to shortstop.

Game two had Nanet Maineri bring in two RBIs off of her solo triple out to left field.

After the day's results, the Bobcats and the Seahawks split the season series 2-2.
