LAKELAND, Fla. (October 19, 2019) - St. Thomas University Volleyball (7-13, 4-7 TSC) was defeated in four sets (25-22, 25-27, 18-25 and 24-26) by Southeastern University (16-6,, 8-3 TSC) from the Furnace on Saturday afternoon.

Game Notes
- STU opened the first set against Southeastern on a 5-1 run, as Bolinger and Batsel combined for three kills in the first five points.
- Allende sparked another five-point rally for the Bobcats, recording two points, forcing the Fire to burn a timeout, trailing 10-4.
- Dani Femat gave STU the biggest lead of the set, eight points, with a service ace to extend the St. Thomas lead to 20-12.
- Three consecutive points by SEU made STU use a timeout, in an effort to halt the Southeastern momentum.
- Back-to-back kills from Chenault put the Bobcats in front 24-20, as STU was one point away from clinching.
- STU finished the set with a 25-20 win, following a SEU service error.
- In the second set, Southeastern rallied for five consecutive points, taking a 5-9 lead.
- Brock and Allende paired up to cut the deficit to 12-15Â with consecutive kills.
- A remarkable eight-point rally by St. Thomas sparked a comeback and gave STU a 21-19 lead, as Bolinger and Stephanie Gomez led the effort.
- SEU came back and won the second set, 25-27.
- The Bobcats trailed by eight points, 12-20, late in the third set and were in need of a comeback.
- A five-point rally by STU, once again led by Bolinger, cut the deficit to 18-23.
- SEU closed the set with consecutive points, and took a 2-1 set lead.
- Trailing 17-20, STU called a timeout late in the fourth set. Following the break, Allende added two more kills, cutting the deficit to 20-21.
- McKenzie Miholer tied the set with a service ace and Chenault recorded a kill to give STU a 22-21 advantage.
- The Bobcats were one point away from clinching the set, however, SEU finished the victory with the final three points as STU made costly errors to drop the set, 24-26.
