th, 2019) – (RV) St. Thomas University Women's Basketball team (21-7, 13-4 TSC) lost in Sun Conference action to Ave Maria University (21-7, 11-6 TSC) 79-59 on Thursday evening from the Fernandez Family Center.

Game Notes
- Ave Maria opened the game with an 8-0 run to take a 12-6 lead over the Bobcats, a three-point bucket by Anari Dozier cut the Gyrene lead in half with four minutes remaining in the opening quarter.
- STU went into the second quarter trailing Ave, 18-16.
- The Bobcats claimed the lead early in the second quarter, as Destiny Wilson knocked in her first of four, three-pointers to give STU a 21-20 lead.
- St. Thomas did not maintain the lead for long, as Ave rallied for a 10-2 run to put the Bobcats down, 30-23.
- The Bobcat offense could not gather momentum, failing to score on consecutive attempts, until the final minute of the first half. Jaddah Knight scored four consecutive points but STU went into the half trailing AMU, 43-34.
- STU trailed the entire third quarter by double digits, heading into the fourth down 53-43.
- St. Thomas could not muster more offense in the final quarter, as the comeback attempt fell short and the Bobcats fell 79-59 against the Gyrenes.
