MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Sixth ranked St. Thomas University (8-4) defeated NCAA Division II opponent, Lynn University, (7-3) 17-0 on Tuesday night from Paul Demie Mainieri Field.

- Jordan Rodriguez made the start for the Bobcats, pitching four innings, racking up four strikeouts and allowing the only Knight hit in the second inning.
- Rodriguez set LU down in order in the first inning, recording one strikeout.
- STU scored the first three runs of the game, in the first inning, as Alejandro Rivero came up with the bases loaded.
- Rivero singled to right field to bring in Thompson and Garabedian, Lopez also scored from first as the Knight's right fielder misplayed the ball.
- After Rodriguez allowed the lone hit of the contest, the freshman stranded the runner on first after escaping the second inning with a strikeout.
- The Bobcats added a fourth run in the bottom of the second inning, as Mondejar scored on a RBI groundout from Delgado.
- St. Thomas broke the game open in the bottom of the third inning, scoring four runs to extend the lead to 8-0 over Lynn.
- Garabedian led the inning off with a double to left field and scored on a Rivero double to right field, two batters later.
- Lopez scored on a passed ball and Rivero scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the third inning.
- Eddie Escribano relieved Rodriguez, pitching one inning and striking out two.
- STU scored their ninth run in the bottom of the fifth inning, as Garabedian singled in Mondejar on a line drive to left field.
- Ernesto Pino and Alex Sarmiento pitched the final four innings of the game, as the pair combined to not allow a hit and struck out four.
- The Bobcat offense erupted for eight runs in the bottom of the eighth inning, as the lineup batted around to bring the lead to 17-0 over the DII Knights.
- The highlight of the innings came with Lopez at the plate and the bases loaded, Lopez on a 1-1 count blasted a fastball over the batting cages in left field for his fourth home run of the field, putting an exclamation point on a 17-0 victory.
