MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (February 23
rd, 2019) – The sixth-ranked St. Thomas University Bobcats Baseball team (10-5, 4-2 TSC) split the doubleheader against 24
th-ranked Keiser University (10-5, 6-3 TSC) but won the NAIA Ball Podcast Series of the Week, as STU won game one (5-0) and dropped game two (15-6).

Game One Notes
- Christopher Coipel made his second consecutive Sun Conference start for No. 6 St. Thomas.
- A pitcher's duel ensued for five innings between the conference rivals, as Coipel and Voss matched each other pitch-for-pitch over the first four innings as neither offense produced a run.
- Chris Garabedian provided the Bobcats with all the offense they needed in the fifth, as a RBI double plated Erick Delgado, giving STU a 1-0 lead.
- Alejandro Rivero maintained his hot streak at the plate, and shot a single to left field, bringing in Garabedian and Joey Thompson as STU went ahead 3-0.
- The three runs by the Bobcats, chased Voss, as Keiser went into the bullpen and brought in Mercado.
- In the bottom of the seventh inning, Nick Izquierdo brought in two runs on a RBI-single to left field as Rivero and Sergio Lopez scored.
- Coipel pitched into the eighth inning, before being replaced by Ernesto Pino.
- Pino recorded the final five outs, as STU sealed the win of game one and the series. 5-0.

Game Two Notes
- STU opened the game with a 1-0 advantage, as Lopez brought in Delgado on a sacrifice fly.
- KU responded with a two-run home run in the top of the second inning to take a 2-1 lead.
- Keiser added two runs in the third and another three in the fourth to open a 7-1 lead over the Bobcats.
- No. 6 St. Thomas attempted to come back into the game, with a three-run bottom of the fourth.
- Daniel Mondejar brought in Lopez on a sacrifice fly; later in the inning, Gus Guerra brought in two runs on a RBI single, plating Lowry and Rivero.
- The Seahawks scored two more runs to pull away, at 9-4.
- Garabedian ripped a triple down the right field line, bringing in Thompson from first base as STU trailed 9-5.
- Keiser scored six-runs in the top of the eighth inning to take a commanding, 15-6 advantage, and salvage a victory in the series.
