th, 2019) – Tenth-ranked St. Thomas University Baseball (24-7, 6-2 TSC) defeated the Thomas University Nighthawks (13-11, 2-6 TSC) in both games (8-2, 5-2) of the Sun Conference matchup on Friday night from Paul Demie Mainieri Field.

Game Notes
- NAIA All-American, Orlando Rodriguez, made the start for the Bobcats in game one of the doubleheader. Rodriguez took a no-hitter into the seventh inning in the Sun Conference series opener against the Nighthawks. Rodriguez struck out nine batter in eight innings of work, allowing four hits and one earned run.
- In the bottom of the first inning, Chris Garabedian brought in the first two runs of the games for St. Thomas, hitting a triple to right field to bring in Urbaez and Delgado.
- The score held at 2-0 until the bottom of the fifth inning, when Alejandro Rivero singled to left field to bring in Delgado.
- Delgado launched his first home run of the season in the bottom of the sixth inning, as a three-run blast extended the lead to 6-0.
- STU added two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning, extending the lead to 8-0. Mondejar singled to plate Rivero and Allende brought in Garabedian on a sacrifice fly.
- Thomas added their two runs in the top of the eighth inning, cutting the lead to 8-2.
- Tyler Morales pitched the ninth inning, closing down the 8-2 victory.

Game Notes
- Ian Exposito (5-1) earned his fifth win of the season, turning in yet another dominant performance for St. Thomas. Exposito tied a Sun Conference-high with 14 strikeouts in eight-plus innings of work.
- In the bottom of the third inning, Urbaez launched his fourth home run of the season, giving STU a 2-0 lead over TU.
- Diaz extended the lead to 3-0 in the fourth inning on a Diaz groundout to shortstop, bringing in Rivero.
- Urbaez hit his second home run of the game, fifth of the season, in the fifth inning as a no-doubt home run to right field extended the lead to 4-0.
- Garabedian scored on a wild pitch in the eighth inning.
- Exposito just missed out on a complete game performance, allowing two runs in the ninth inning, before getting replaced by Joel Rivero.
- Rivero recorded his first collegiate save, ending the game with a double play, as STU completed the doubleheader sweep.
