FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (March 20
th, 2019) – The tenth-ranked St. Thomas University Bobcats baseball team (25-8) lost against NCAA Division II opponent, Nova Southeastern University (18-7) on Wednesday evening from the NSU Baseball Complex.

Game Notes
- The Bobcats were trailing 4-0 after one inning of play, Jordan Rodriguez came into the game in the bottom of the first inning and pitched until the fourth inning. Rodriguez replaced starter Guevara with no outs in the inning.
- Rodriguez was replaced by JJ Galvis, in the bottom of the fourth inning, with STU trailing 8-0. Galvis only needed one pitch to escape a jam.
- St. Thomas got on the board in the sixth inning, with three hits as Lopez plated Allende on a single to left. Delgado added the second STU run, scoring on a throwing error by the catcher.
- NSU responded with another two runs in the bottom of the sixth, taking a 10-2 lead.
- The Bobcats were able to cut the Shark lead down to five runs with a three-run top of the seventh inning. Allende brought in Thompson on a sacrifice fly and Delgado plated two on an error by NSU.
- The Bobcat rally fell short, with St. Thomas losing the contest 10-5 against the Nova Southeastern University Sharks.
