MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (April 27
th, 2019) – No. 6 St. Thomas University (42-11) completed the 2019 Regular Season with two victories over Florida National (10-34), taking Game One of the doubleheader 12-2 and winning the season finale 12-3.
STU finishes the regular season on the longest winning streak of the season, eleven, featuring two Sun Conference opponents (No.1 Southeastern and Florida Memorial).

Game Notes
- Ian Exposito (10-2) became the only pitcher in the Sun Conference to win ten games in the 2019 regular season, striking out nine in five-shutout innings of work.
- St. Thomas opened the scoring with a five-run bottom of the first inning, as Lopez (13th) and Rivero (11th) each launched home runs.
- Urbaez singled to left to plate Lowry and extended the lead to 6-0, in the bottom of the second.
- Diaz added a RBI single of his own, plating Delgado to give the Bobcats a 7-0 lead.
- Exposito also became the only Sun Conference Starting Pitcher to strike out 100-batters for the season, recording the milestone to end the third inning.
- Urbaez added more RBIs to his total, with a RBI double to right to bring in Lowry, making the lead 8-0.
- A two-run double by Mondejar, brought in Thompson and Garabedian, extending the lead to double-digits at 10-0.
- Urbaez came through with his third RBI of the contest, singling to left and bringing in Allende.
- Lopez capped the inning off with a single to center, scoring Lowry, putting the Bobcats ahead 12-0.
- Giovanni Fernandez made his STU Bobcats Varsity debut, pitching the final two innings, allowing two runs but preserving the 41st STU win of the season, 12-2, as the Bobcats won in run-rule fashion.

- FNU scored two runs, in the first two innings, taking a 2-0 lead over the Bobcats.
- Delgado put St. Thomas on the board with a single to left field to bring in Izquierdo, making the score 2-1.
- Estevez tied the game at 2-2, with a RBI single to right, bringing in Garabedian in the bottom of the third.
- STU took their first lead in the fourth, following an Allende double to bring in Delgado.
- Florida National tied the game in the top of the fifth inning on a RBI triple off of Keanu Guzman (3-0).
- Guzman earns his third win of the season, pitching two innings and striking out three.
- St. Thomas took the lead for good, following a bases-loaded walk by Thompson.
- Lopez, Rivero and Thompson each added RBI singles in the bottom of the sixth to pull away, making the game 8-3.
- Rivero launched his second home run of the day, 12th of the season, in the bottom of the seventh inning to put STU up 10-3.
- Thompson added his first career home run (inside the park), in the bottom of the eighth inning.
- Jackie Urbaez entered the game in the top of the ninth inning, pitching the most dominant 0.1 innings in STU Baseball history, striking out a batter in his first career pitching appearance.
- St. Thomas concluded the regular season with a 12-3 victory over Florida National.
