th, 2019) – Sixth-seeded St. Thomas University (47-14) was defeated by top-seeded, Tennessee Wesleyan (55-9) 3-2 in heartbreaking, walk-off fashion on Tuesday night from Harris Field in Game 15 of the Avista NAIA World Series.

Game Notes
- Alex Sarmiento made his third appearance in a NAIA World Series game of his St. Thomas career (2015, 2018, 2019), lasting 4.2 innings, striking out five and allowing two earned runs.
- St. Thomas opened the scoring in the top of the second inning, as Garabedian hit his second home run of the World Series, in back-to-back games to give STU a 1-0 lead.
- TWU claimed their first lead with a two-run single, with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth, taking a 2-1 lead.
- Joel Rivero entered in relief, following the single and escaped a bases loaded jam with a fielder's choice groundout.
- The Bobcats tied the game in the top of the seventh, as Gus Guerra scored on a passed ball.
- Ernesto Pino came into the game in the bottom of the eighth inning, pitching a 1-2-3 inning to send the game into the final frame.
- The Bulldogs won the game in walk-off fashion, with a one out single to left field, scoring a runner from second to win 3-2.
