MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (September 18, 2019) – St. Thomas University Women's Soccer (2-2) defeated NCAA Division II opponent, Palm Beach Atlantic University (3-1) 2-1 from Bobcat Field on Wednesday evening.

- St. Thomas University Captain, Sandy Benito, added her third goal of the season in the 30th minute. Benito finished a second chance opportunity, as her first attempt hit off the post.
- STU went into the halftime break, leading the game 1-0 and out-shooting Palm Beach Atlantic 2-1.
- In the 58th minute the Sailfish netted the equalizer, tying the match at 1-1.
- The match remained tied at 1-1 until the 83rd minute, PBA took their first lead of the match as Karina Williams recorded her second goal of the match, giving Palm Beach Atlantic their first lead.
- STU had one last attempt, in the final minute, as Leslie DeLeon attempted a corner kick. Leonie Weide shot on goal but was denied as PBA recorded a save.
