WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (January 22, 2020) - St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Tennis (0-1, 0-1 TSC) fell in each match to No. 2 Keiser University (1-0, 1-0 TSC) on Wednesday afternoon.
Doubles
Annie Carrera and
Lia Pena began their St. Thomas careers with a loss, falling (3-6).
Manami Maehama and
Thalia Skeene did not win a point; losing (0-6).
Mariah Bastos and
Giovanna Paschoalin were defeated (0-6) on court No. 3.
Singles
Carrera also lost in singles action (1-6, 3-6).
Pena took set one in her match, but ultimately fell in three sets (6-4, 1-6, 0-1).
Skeene dropped her singles match (0-6, 0-6).
Maehama also was victorious in set one, dropping the match (6-4, 2-6, 0-1).
Paschoalin was defeated (0-6, 0-6).
Shibata fell on court six, losing (1-6, 0-6).
Upcoming
St. Thomas will take on Southeastern University in Lakeland, Fla. on Saturday, January 25.
