MARIETTA, GA. (November 25, 2020) - The St. Thomas University (STU) Wrestling team competed in a tri-meet against Truett McConnell University and Midway University on Wednesday afternoon.

STU vs. TMU

• 125 - Osniel Carnesolta was defeated 21-3 by Brandon Navixay.
• 133 - Nick Foster earned a victory via fall in 2:30 against Preston Sartain.
• 141 - Malik Cook-Bey lost facing Geowel Silvestre by fall.
• 149 - Drake Campbell picked up a win against Leonel Silvestre in less than thirty-seconds by fall in the second period,
• 157 - Daniel Garlin defeated Chase Bond, 8-3.
• 165 - Brent Becera lost against Mitchel Thompson by fall in the second period.
• 174 - Omar Davis was beaten 17-2 by a technical fall against Ian James.
• 184 - Jonathan Evans fell against Hans Evatt in 1:16.
• 197 - Jesus Perez lost facing Dalton Hardeman, 12-4.
• Heavyweight - Maximo Fernandez was defeated by Ethan Powell in 1:36 by fall. 

STU vs. Midway

• 125 - Carnesolta was beaten by Andrew Vogeler by a fall in 2:17.
• 133 - Foster earned his second victory of the tri-meet by defeating  Dominic Hinton in the second period.
• 141 - Cook-Bey lost against Anthony Caruso in the third period, 17-1.
• 149 - Campbell became the second Bobcat Wrestler to win his second match of the day with a 12-7 victory against Robert Dominguez.
• 165 - Becera rebounded with a third period fall victory versus Jabril Williams.
• 174 - Trevon Warren, 9-6 beat Davis.
• 197 - Perez fell against Kevin Ixpanel.
• Heavyweight - Fernandez lost against Byron Pierce.

Upcoming
St. Thomas continues the program's inaugural season on Saturday, December 5, and will participate in the Florida Cup Duals against Keiser University and Southeastern University.
