LAKELAND, Fla. (December 10, 2020) - The St. Thomas University (STU) Bobcats Women's Basketball team (5-1, 3-1 TSC) suffered its first defeat of the 2020-21 season against Southeastern University (4-2, 3-0 TSC) 67-36 on Thursday evening from "the Furnance."
The 5-0 start to the season by STU is the longest winning streak to open a season in the Candace Walker-era.Â

- The Bobcats got off to an early lead as Pressley made a lay-up to put STU ahead 2-0.
- Back-to-back buckets from Domond reclaimed the lead for St. Thomas 8-6.
- Domond added the final points of the first quarter in the last minute, as the Bobcats trailed 10-16 heading into the second quarter.
- Southeastern began the second quarter on a 7-2 run, before a Domond jump-shot halted the Fire momentum, putting the score at 23-14.
- Domond recorded all but two-points for STU in the second quarter, as the game went into the halftime break with St. Thomas trailing, 28-17.
- SEU came out of the half on a 13-0 run, which extended the Bobcat deficit to 41-17.
- Anari Dozier attempted to spark a Bobcat rally, scoring 5-of-7 points to close the third quarter.
- Rodriguez got the Bobcats on the board in the fourth quarter, knocking down a jump-shot.
- STU trailed for the remainder of the game, unable to mount a comeback, losing their first game of the season, 67-36.
