MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 15, 2020) - St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Basketball (10-16, 7-9 TSC) was defeated in Sun Conference action by the Mariners from the College of Coastal Georgia (19-6, 13-3 TSC) 72-71 on Saturday afternoon from the Fernandez Family Center.

- St. Thomas took off to an early lead in the first scoring, extending the Bobcat advantage to 9-4 following a Dozier three-pointer.
- CCGA tied the game midway through the opening quarter, recording a three of their own, making the score 11-11.
- That three-pointer was a part of a 10-0 run by the Mariners, which halted after an August three-point make, cutting the Mariner lead to 16-14.
- Keaubree Edwards made 3-of-4 free throws in the final seconds, sending the game into the second quarter with STU trailing 18-17.
- Midway through the second quarter, St. Thomas trailed 31-24 before Brooks took over; the senior scored five consecutive points bringing the score to 31-29.
- Before the game went into halftime, Edwards added three more points for the Bobcats, as STU trailed 38-36.
- In the final three minutes of the third quarter, a brief 5-0 run by St. Thomas tied the game 54-54. Patricia Martinez - Sanz and August combined to score the points.Â
- Vogel scored back-to-back buckets for the Bobcats, with less than a minute remaining, tying the game once again, 58-58.
- Two consecutive threes from Brooks and Dozier had the Bobcats within two-points, 70-68, with less than three minutes remaining in the game.
- In the final minute of play, Brooks stepped up once again, bringing the Bobcats within one, 72-71, with a lay-up.
- Ultimately, the Bobcats lost at the buzzer, with the game-winning shot spinning in-and-out of the rim as time expired.
