MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 8, 2020) - No. 2 St. Thomas University (STU) Bobcats baseball (6-1) completed a three-game sweep over No. 22 Middle Georgia State University (5-4) on Saturday afternoon, as the Bobcats defeated the Knights 3-1 in the series finale from Paul Demie Mainieri Field.

Game Notes
- Andrew began the game with the rare, four-strikeout inning.
- Andrew continued his dominance into the third inning, recording the first eight outs of the game via the strikeout.
- No. 22 MGA got on the board first, scoring on an RBI single to center, taking a 1-0 lead over the Bobcats.
- Lopez recorded a two-out single in the bottom of the third inning and came around to score on an error by Middle Georgia, tying the game.
- Fernandez followed with am RBI single to center field, Â bringing in Thompson as STU took a 2-1 lead.
- Jason Graña entered the game in the sixth inning for St. Thomas and recorded the first two outs of the inning before allowing back-to-back singles before recording the final out and stranding runners in scoring position.
- In the bottom of the seventh inning, Guerra scored an insurance run for St. Thomas, coming in on a wild pitch.
- Robert Touron entered the game in the top of the eighth inning and closed out the game, earning his second save of the season.
