MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 8, 2020) - St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Tennis (0-4, 0-3 TSC) continues to search for their first win of the season, after losing 1-6 to No. 5 SCAD - Savannah (2-1, 2-1 TSC) on Saturday morning from the STU Tennis Courts.
Singles
Annie Carrera dropped her match, losing (4-6, 1-6)
Lia Pena won the only game on the afternoon for St. Thomas, winning in straight sets (6-2, 6-2).
Manami Maehama was defeated in two sets (2-6, 2-6)
Thalia Skeene also dropped her match (2-6, 1-6)
Thais Shibata fell in straight sets (0-6, 0-6)
Mariah Bastos picked up a set win, however, dropped her match (0-6, 6-4, 3-10)
Doubles
All three St. Thomas pairs (Carrera/Pena; Skeene/Shibata; Bastos and
Giovanna Paschoalin) all dropped their matches.Â

St. Thomas takes on the Colleg of Coastal Georgia on Saturday, February 15, in their fourth Sun Conference match of the season.
