LAKE WALES, Fla. (March 7, 2020) – No. 2 St. Thomas University (STU) Bobcats Baseball (16-5) finished play at the Warner Invitational Tournament with a 12-3 loss in non-conference action against Warner University (11-18) from Royals Field on Saturday afternoon.

Game Notes
- Losey made his first start of the season for the Bobcats and was relieved by Jose Ledesma.
- Ledesma allowed the inherited runners to score, and one of his own, as Warner led 3-0 after the first inning.
- Lopez led off the bottom of the first inning, with his team-leading, 12th double of the season. Khawly followed with a walk, as STU brought the tying run to the plate in Rivero.
- Mondejar brought in the first runs of the game for STU, with a two-run single to center-field, plating Khawly and Lopez to bring the score to 3-2.
- Warner added three more runs in the top of the second inning, as Daniel Bonsanti came into pitch.
- Bonsanti retired all four batters he faced, working a perfect 1.1 innings.
- Michael Pope-Diaz retired the three batters he faced in the top of the fourth inning.
- STU cut the deficit in half, in the bottom of the fourth inning, as Nick Izquierdo scored Fernandez with an RBI groundout, putting the score at 6-3.
- Michael Padron made his debut for the Bobcats in the top of the fifth inning, but Warner scored six runs as the Royals capitalized off two consecutive STU errors, putting the score at 12-3.
- Felipe Soto and Joel Rivero added appearances on the mound for the Bobcats, as STU concluded the tournament with a 12-3 loss.
