MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (March 7, 2020) - St. Thomas University (STU) Softball (7-11, 0-2 TSC) began Sun Conference play by being swept in a doubleheader by Sun Conference foe, Southeastern University (12-9, 2-0 TSC) on Saturday afternoon from "The Colonel." The Bobcats dropped game one by a score of 4-2 and were shutout in game two, 2-0.

- Southeastern put runners on second and third base in the opening frame, threatening to score; Winter, the Bobcat ace, recorded two consecutive outs to escape the jam.
- STU broke the scoreless tie in the bottom of the third inning, as Hauck manufactured a run.
- Hauck reached on a bunt, moved to second on a sacrifice bunt, stole third, and scored on a Samaniego sacrifice fly, as small-ball worked to perfection.
- SEU responded with a four-run top of the fourth inning, capped off by a two-run triple to lead, 4-1.
- STU rallied for a run with two outs in the bottom of the inning; Rosado kick-started the inning with a double to left-field and scored on an RBI bunt single by Hauck.
- St. Thomas notched one hit over the final three frames, and could not cut into the lead, losing game one to the Fire, 4-2.

- Southeastern got on the scoreboard in the top of the second inning, as a one-out triple led to the first run and an early SEU lead, 1-0.
- Through three innings STU mustered two hits, Samaniego (single, 1st), Uribe (double, 3rd)
- Samaniego added her second hit of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning, and after getting into scoring position, STU could not bring in the tying run.
- Samaniego again reached scoring position in the bottom of the sixth inning, but the Bobcats could not bring her in, leaving the score at 1-0, in favor of the Fire, as the game went into its' final frame.
- SEU added an insurance run in the top of the seventh, scoring a second run with two doubles, which chased Smits.
- Abbigail Smith entered in relief and recorded the final two outs for St. Thomas.
- The Bobcats went down in order in the bottom half of the seventh, going the whole game without a runner reaching third base, and losing 2-0.
