MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (September 22, 2020) - St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Soccer (0-1) kicked off the 2020 season against defending NAIA National Champion, No. 1 Keiser University (1-0). The Bobcat fell to the Seahawks 5-1 from Bobcat Field on Tuesday afternoon.

- The opening 20-minutes of the match produced a defensive stalemate, as neither team recorded a shot-on-goal.
- Keiser began the scoring in the 23rd minute, scoring the first goal of the match following a cross into the box from the right-side.
- Moments later, the Seahawks added two more goals extending their lead 3-0.
- Captain Karina Medina hit the crossbar in an attempt to give St. Thomas their first goal of the game.
- Following Medina's shot, St. Thomas got on the board, scoring their first goal in the 34th minute. Leslie Celis capitalized on a secondary scoring opportunity.
- In the second half of the game, KU netted another goal in the 66th minute, extending Keiser's lead 4-1.
- During the 89th minute of the game, Keiser converted a penalty kick, taking a 5-1 lead into the final minute.
