MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (September 24, 2020) - St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Soccer (1-1) earned the first win of the 2020 season, defeating Florida College (0-1) 3-2 on Thursday afternoon from Bobcat Field.

• Ferrardaz netted her first career collegiate score in the ninth minute, giving the Bobcats a 1-0 lead, with Medina and Leizorek tallying assists.
• In the 18th minute, Medina extended the STU lead by converting a penalty kick for her first goal of the season.
• Weide added the third St. Thomas goal of the first half, scoring from 15-yards out after a Ferradaz assist.
• The Bobcats outshot the Falcons 13-2 in the first half, including five shots-on-goal.
• Midway through the second half, Florida National netted their first goal of the game on a breakaway goal in the 67th minute.
• Megan Velazquez nearly capitalized on an STU corner kick, just missing a goal.
• In the 86th minute of the match, FC scored their second goal of the match, cutting the Bobcat advantage to 3-2.
• STU held on to the lead for the remaining four minutes, earning their first win of the season.
