MIAMI GARDENS, FLA. (November 6, 2021) – The receiving votes St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Soccer team (11-3-2, 5-3-1 SUN) defeated the Sand Sharks of University of South Carolina Beaufort (10-8-1, 4-4-1 SUN) in the Sun Conference Quarterfinal matchup from the Bobcat Turf Field Saturday afternoon, 2-1, in a rematch from last year's quarterfinal matchup.

Match Notes:
- The Bobcats scored the first goal of the match. Annika Geistert crossed the ball from the left to Andrea Manzur, who struck it into the back right post for an early 1-0 lead in the eighth-minute.
- That was Manzur's seventh goal of the season.
- USCB equalized in the 20th minute of the match taking advantage of a breakaway chip past the defense that led Lefebvre to a 1v1, making the score 1-1.
- De Don helped the Bobcats regain the lead by scoring a goal off a deflection in the 27th minute of the match.
- The Bobcats held possession off the ball over the Sand Sharks for the majority of the first half.
- St. Thomas led the first half in shots, 12-3 over USCB.
- The Bobcats continued to apply offensive pressure early in the second half and within 20 minutes St. Thomas attempted nine shots.
- In the 84th minute the Sand Sharks had a major opportunity to tie the game off a counterattack, but the ball was too high and hit the crossbar.
- St. Thomas took a total of 22 shots (34 overall) in the second half and ended the match victorious, with the final score being 2-1.
