LAKELAND, Fla. (December 3, 2021) – The St. Thomas University Wrestling team had a quick schedule change this weekend. After originally intending to compete at home, Montreat College backed out last minute leading to the Bobcats heading up north for the weekend. The first stop was against no. 6 Southeastern University as they had a match cancellation as well.
 
The Bobcats took one on the chin dropping nine matches, two by forfeit, six by pin and one by decision for a final team score of 57-0.
 
Jessiah Garcia-Contreras was the solo Bobcat to make it out of the first round and to last the whole match. Garcia-Contreras fell by decision 6-1.
 
The Bobcats will have a quick turnaround heading to the FSU Duals tomorrow in Orlando, Fla. the dual is set to start at 1 p.m.
