MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 17, 2021) - No. 4 St. Thomas University (5-4) finished a 20-4 rout over Florida National University (4-4) on Wednesday night from Paul Demie Mainieri Field.

- Following a lead-off walk, Cabrera forced an FNU double play and finished the inning with a strikeout.
- Lopez began the bottom of the first inning with a double; however, the Bobcats were unable to plate the senior to start scoring.Â
- The floodgates opened in the bottom of the second inning, with St. Thomas scoring nine-runs in the frame.
- Mondejar started the scoring with an RBI base-hit, which plated A. Fernandez.
- Later in the inning, following a Joel Franco steal of third, Lowry drove in Franco with a line drive into the left-center field gap to extend the lead to 2-0.
- Rivero stepped to the plate with the bases loaded and two outs in the inning, and promptly skied a ball high into the Miami Gardens-evening. The ball was mishandled by the Conquistador's first baseman, allowing two Bobcats to score, putting the score at 4-0.
- R. Fernandez and A. Fernandez recorded back-to-back doubles, extending the STU lead to 7-0.
- Mondejar capped the inning with a two-run home run, his second of the season, making the score 9-0.Â
- In the bottom of the third inning, St. Thomas plated another five runs, and the rout was on.Â
- Rangel drew a bases-loaded walk, scoring the tenth run and bringing Rivero to the plate.
- Rivero blasted a ball over the batting cages in left field for a grand slam and his third home run of the season, putting the score at 14-0.
- Florida National scored three runs in the top of the fourth inning, with Robert Touron on the mound for STU.
- Christopher Schoeller grounded a ball of the middle, scoring Lopez and Orlando Borroto, which gave St. Thomas a 16-3 lead.
- Rivero added his second home run of the game in the fourth inning, as the gap widened to 18-3.
- David Armstrong entered the game in the sixth inning for St. Thomas, allowing a run on a two-out single and an error in the outfield.
- Rivero added his seventh RBI, putting the score at 20-4.
- Fernando Medina finished the game, as the Bobcats cruised to a 20-4 victory.
