BLUFFTON, S.C. (February 21, 2021) - No. 4 St. Thomas University (STU) Bobcats Baseball (7-4, 4-1 TSC) began the Sun Conference series against University of South Carolina-Beaufort (6-6, 2-3 TSC) with a doubleheader sweep, taking game one 14-2 and game two 11-4 on Sunday afternoon.

- Rivero opened the scoring in the top of the first with an RBI single to left-field, driving in Lopez to get STU on the board.
- Mondejar hit his third home run of the season, second on the week, bringing in A. Fernandez and Rivero with a three-run home run to left field.
- USCB cut into the STU lead with an RBI single in the bottom of the first inning, bringing the score to 4-1.
- Back-to-back doubles from the Sandsharks in the bottom of the second inning scored their second run of the game.
- Pino escaped the inning with two consecutive strikeouts to stand runners on second and third, preserving a 4-2 lead for STU.
- St. Thomas added more runs in the top of the sixth inning, Lopez lined a one-out double to left-feld and Rivero loaded the bases for R. Fernandez with a hit-by-pitch.
- R. Fernandez single to shortstop, bringing in Lopez to extend the lead to 5-2.
- A. Fernandez followed with another infield single, plating Rangel.
- Mondejar added to his RBI total, bringing in two more runs with a single to left-field, as the Bobcats led 8-2.
- Khawly capped the inning with an RBI single, scoring A. Fernandez.
- Guerra led off the top of the seventh inning with a single and stolen base, and came into score on a Rangel single to left to bring the score to 10-2.
- Joel Rivero relieved Pino in the bottom of the seventh inning. Pino struck out seven in six innings, allowing one earned run.
- Lowry brought in Emanuel Montesino in the top of the eighth inning, as STU took a 11-2 lead.
- Guerra and Lopez each added RBI base-hit, extending the Bobcats lead to 13-2.
- Rangel reached first on an error by the USCB second-baseman, bringing in Guerra to cap off a four-run top of the eighth.
- Rivero closed out the eighth inning, as the Bobcats finished a 14-2 victory to open the Sun Conference series.

- Jose Ledesma entered the game for STU in the bottom of the sixth inning and recorded two strikeouts.
- The Sandsharks scored their fourth run of the game with back-to-back hits in the bottom of the seventh inning.
- Luis Gonzalez entered in relief of Ledesma in the bottom of the eighth inning and added two strikeouts.
- Joey Thompson extended the Bobcats' lead to 10-4 with a two run single in the top of the ninth inning.
- Thompson stole second and third base and came into score on a sacrifice fly from Guerra.
- Jason Grana entered the game in the ninth inning and sealed the 11-4 Sun Conference win for St. Thomas.Â
