MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (March 6, 2021) - St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Flag (2-3, 1-2 TSC) dropped a Sun Conference contest against Keiser University (2-0, 2-0 TSC) 19-6 from Bobcat Field on Saturday afternoon.

The Seahawks began the Sun Conference match-up with possession as Jazmin Rhoden drove KU down the field. The Keiser quarterback completed four passes on the drive to bring KU to the St. Thomas 14-yard line. Keiser scored the opening touchdown on the next play and took an early 7-0 lead over STU. Jada Graham found Tyler Bryant for a total of 16-yards on the first Bobcat possession, as STU punted the ball away.

Keiser's second-drive began on the STU 35-yard line. Dejonice Parris recorded two quarterback sacks, totaling 15-yards, and forced KU to punt, ending the first quarter. The Bobcat offense stalled, punting for the second time in the game. Erianece Wilson intercepted Rhoden in the red zone on the ensuing KU possession, getting the Bobcats the ball back.

In the final minute of the second half, STU changed quarterbacks to Holly Nehar, and the sophomore led the Bobcats down the field for a touchdown. Nehar connected with Parris down the sideline for a gain of 29-yards. Before the half ended, St. Thomas got on the board with a 14-yard touchdown from Nehar to Parris.

St. Thomas kept the Seahawks out of the endzone in the third quarter. Tyler Bryant and Tiffany Walker held firm in the red zone, forcing a stop for the Bobcat defense. STU was unable to score in the third, taking possession into the fourth quarter.

Keiser added their second touchdown of the game early in the fourth quarter. Elise Liggett found Akiyah Taylor in the endzone for a 16-yard touchdown, putting the score at 13-6. STU regained possession, and Nehar was intercepted for a pick-six, extending the KU advantage to 19-6.

The Bobcats were held off the scoreboard in the fourth quarter, dropping their second consecutive game, 19-6.
