BABSON PARK, Fla. (April 10, 2021) - St. Thomas University Softball (10-14, 4-10 TSC) traveled to take on Webber International University (23-17, 10-4 TSC) in a doubleheader Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats fell in game one, 1-7, then defeated Warriors in game two, 2-1.
Game One

Notes:
- Smits struck out one batter in the bottom of the first, helping keep the inning scoreless for both sides.
- In both the second and third innings, Bobcats stranded a runner on second, unable to close the deal in scoring a run.
- With runners on second and third for the Warriors, Smits was able to complete the bottom of the third inning with a strikeout.
- In the top of the fourth, Guillermo doubled, scoring Negron from first, adding the first run of the game in favor of the Bobcats.
- The bottom of the sixth created trouble for the Bobcats as the Warriors hit a hot streak, scoring seven runs.
- Abbigail Smith came in to pitch for Smits after Webber added three runs.
- The Warriors' run came to a close with a groundout to second base, stranding one runner.
- The top of the fifth was a quick three-up, three-down for the Bobcats, securing the 1-7 win for the Warriors.

Notes:
- Warriors were able to tack on a run quickly in the first inning with a passed ball, scoring the runner on third.
- The second inning was quick for both teams, but Winter was able to strike out two of the three batters, with the other batter grounding out to second base.
- The Warriors left two runners stranded with a groundout to Winter to close out the inning.
- Through the fourth inning, the Bobcats were unable to make connections in the box.
- In the sixth inning, tables turned for the Bobcats, starting with Pacetti scoring on a fielder's choice.Â
- Gilbert was then able to score on a single from Guillermo, putting the Bobcats up 2-1.
- In the sixth, Warriors again stranded two runners on second and third, unable to bring them in.
- The seventh inning was a three-up, three-down for both teams, securing the win for the Bobcats.
