MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (April 22, 2021) - St. Thomas University (STU) Softball (11-19, 5-15 TSC) split a Sun Conference doubleheader by the University of South Carolina - Beaufort on Thursday evening from Colonel Jacquelin J. Kelly Field. The Bobcats dropped game one 5-0 and were victorious in game two, winning 2-0.

- Smits worked out of a jam with runners on second and third in the first inning by inducing a pop-out to Artiles.
- Smits tallied three strikeouts in the top of the second inning.
- Guillermo recorded the first hit of the game for STU, reaching on a bunt single.
- USCB opened the fourth inning with back-to-back singles and loaded the bases with a hit-by-pitch.
- The Sandsharks plated four runs with three consecutive singles, taking a 4-0 lead over STU.
- Abbigail Smith relieved Smits on the mound, as USCB capped off a five-run inning with another base hit, before Smith got out of the inning with two strikeouts.
- Smith added two strikeouts to her line in the top of the sixth inning.
- STU was held out of the hit column from the fourth to the seventh inning, as the Bobcats lost 5-0.

- Winter stranded a runner on first base to end the top of the first inning.
- STU got on the scoreboard with a two-run single from Bautista, as she drove in Samaniego and Gilbert in the bottom of the fourth inning.
- Winter set down six consecutive SandSharks, keeping momentum for the Bobcats after the two-run inning.
- The Bobcats finished the shutout, defeating USCB 2-0 in game two of the doubleheader.
