STU FOOTBALL PLACES THIRD IN MSC SUN DIVISION PRESEASON COACHES' POLL

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (August 2, 2021) – The Mid-South Conference (MSC) released the 2021 Mid-South Conference Sun Division Football Preseason Coaches' Poll on Friday, July 30th, 2021. St. Thomas University's (STU) Football program was selected to place third in the upcoming season.

St. Thomas finished third in the 2020 season with 26 points behind no. 4 Keiser who gathered 36 points and six first-place votes and receiving votes Southeastern who received 29 points and one first-place vote. The team garnered their first winning season in program history in just its second year, going 4-3 overall and 3-2 in MSC play.

STU is looking to continue its winning ways as they look ahead to year three, returning key players in NAIA/AFCA All-American Sidney Porter, as well as All-Mid-South players Donnell Bennett III, C'Quan Jnopierre, Jared Noble, Joey Fleurjuste, Nicholas Engler, Jhaqwori Austin, and Keyon Phillips.

The 2021 schedule features five home games and five road games, with the season kicking off at home on September 4th with a noon kick-off versus the University of Pikeville as the teams with matchup for the first time.
