MIAMI SHORES, Fla. (September 2, 2021) – The St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Soccer team (3-0-0) defeated the Buccaneers of Barry University from Buccaneer ­­Field on Thursday night, 4-0.

• The Bobcats have taken the last two matchups from the Bucs outscoring them 6-1.
• Acerbi got his seventh-straight start in the net for the Bobcats and recorded his third win of the season.
• The Bobcat defense recorded back-to-back shutout victories.
• There was a 30-minute lightning delay that halted play in the 20^th minute of play.
• St. Thomas struck first as Facundo Cisterna was able to capitalize on a bad clearance from the Buccaneer goalkeeper in the 41^st minute.
• What was a great battle of possession and control back and forth in the first half, had a change of pace in the second.
• STU scored in the 49^th minute off a diving header from none other than the captain himself, Juan Manuel Collazo as Ben Beckler set him up.
• Barry was close to a goal in the 59^th minute to cut the deficit to one but was recalled due to an offsides by the Bucs.
• Cisterna would get this second goal of the game in the 72^nd minute striking it right past the keeper on a cross from Federico Zanna.
• Arzeno called game with the final dagger with three-seconds on the clock.
