BABSON PARK, Fla. (January 15, 2022) – The St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Basketball team (7-10, 3-4 SUN) drop a close contest against Webber International University (14-4, 6-2 SUN) 70-67 from the Sabbagh Center on Saturday afternoon.

• Patricia Martinez-Sanz hit the first bucket for the Bobcats draining a three straight on from a Samaria August pass.
• Mya Moye was the star for the Bobcats and the spark off the bench.
• Moye hit the and-one to take the lead 12-10.
• Webber hit two free-throws to end the quarter on top 17-16.
• Martinez-Sanz starter the second quarter with another basket from beyond the arc to regain the lead 19-17.
• There were three lead changes in the quarter with St. Thomas holding it for six and half minutes.
• St. Thomas flipped the scoreboard and took the lead 26-22 into the locker room.
• The Bobcats defense held Webber to just five points in the second quarter.
• STU opened the third quarter on a 7-0 run to stretch the lead to 11.
• After a Webber timeout, the Warriors went on a 15-5 run to bring the game within one.
• At the end of three quarters, the game was tied up at 47-all.
• With 4:19 on the clock, Webber took the lead and would go on and hold on to it.
