#6 Bobcats End in Another Draw Allowing a Last Minute Goal Against Lions

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. (October 11, 2022) - St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Soccer (5-0-3, 2-0-3 SUN) took on the Battle of Miami Gardens against local Sun Conference foe, Florida Memorial University (1-6-3, 1-2-1 SUN) in a makeup game on Tuesday evening.

The offensive pressure was on early as the Bobcats tallied five shots in the first 20 minutes of the contest. This would lead to a 10 shot difference in the first half as STU got off 11 shots with five on goal. There was also nine set pieces but none could find the back of the net.

In the second half the goal finally opened as Mark Oghogho found it just a minute and a half in, from Soeren Zeidler. This lead would hold and the offense would remain with the gas on the pedal urgent for an insurance goal. Florida Memorial played until the final seconds which proved to be the difference maker scoring with just 23 seconds remaining to force this match to a draw.

The Bobcats have now earned draws in three of the last four matches, two in Sun Conference play. St. Thomas will be back at home against Webber International on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. on AutoNation Field.
