WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (December 3, 2022)- The St. Thomas University (STU) Wrestling team defeated Montreat College at the Keiser Duals 27-24. Out of the five matches the Bobcats won, four came by way of fall.Â

Starting off in the 125lb class,
Stephen Moreno defeated Patrick Wlodyga by decision 5-4. Moreno earned three points for STU. In the 133lb class was
JJ Contreras, who won by fall (2:52) over Anthony Kuhn, earning six team points.

Thomas Williams continued to dominate with a win by fall (2:26) over Nathan Alley, earning six total team points. Niccholas Dukes was taken down 4:14 into the match by Mohamed Ben Hafsia of Montreat. Moving on to the 157lb division,
David Pierson lost by decision 6-2 to Taquel Young from Montreat.Â

Daniel Garlin was defeated by Easton Griffin of Montreat in the 165lb class by suddon victory.
Christian Cobo broke the short losing stint for the Bobcats, defeating Dalton Towe by fall (2:20) in the 174lb class. Cobo earned six team points for STU.

Miloz Gargol of Montreat defeated Shemar Barthelus by fall.
Esteban Hoyos was defeated by Seth Williamson from Montreat in the 197lb class. Las but not least in the 285lb class was
Jairo Caceres. Caceres defeated Grant Trotter by fall (0:47) into the match, earning six team points.
