MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (March 16, 2022) – The 11
th ranked St. Thomas University Baseball (21-5, 5-1 SUN) team returned home to play Bryant and Stratton College – Albany (4-21) in midweek action before returning to Sun Conference action. The Bobcats continued their red-hot offense winning in run rule fashion over the visiting Bobcats and putting up double-digits hit in the 11-1 victory.

Jorge Arias got the starting nod for the third time this season and did not disappoint throwing two scoreless innings just surrendering two hits and picking up two strikeouts. Arias also earned the win picking up his second the season.

The Bobcat offense got it going early and
Robin Fernandez blasted a two-run shot to right field. This was his first of the game and one of five for St. Thomas. The offense produced a run in every inning having two innings with four runs.

The Fernandez's led the way as both had multi-home run games.
Andrew Fernandez sent two to left field while
Robin Fernandez sent both of his to right field.
Brian Garcia joined the Fernandez's blasting a two-run shot of his own to right field.

St. Thomas picked up their eighth straight win and fourth run rule victory through the streak.

The pitching staff did their job as six different pitchers were used, five of the six recorded multiple strikeouts. Jeffery Polledo made his first home appearance and struck out the first batter her faced.

Five Bobcats recorded multi-hit games as the team racked up fourteen hits and drew seven walks.

St. Thomas will travel to take on #20 Keiser University to resume Sun Conference play. Game one will be Friday in West Palm Beach, Fla. while the series will conclude with a double header on Saturday.
