(September 10, 2022) – St. Thomas University (STU) Volleyball (4-3) made a quick day of Florida College (6-7) on Saturday afternoon taking the match in three sets, 25-16, 25-21, and 25-23. St. Thomas now rides a three-match win streak as they head into Sun Conference action last week.

- MacAskill got the scoring started for the match gaining the first kill.
- St. Thomas then went on a 5-2 run to gain a 7-3 advantage.
- The Bobcats had a dominant first set going on three long runs that allowed for the space on the scoreboard.
- Sana Dennis had two big kills to give STU a 1-0 match lead.
- St. Thomas hit an astonishing .552 hitting in the first set and only had two attack errors in 29 attempts.
- Set two saw a little bit of a shift with Florida College coming out hot and taking a quick 5-1 advantage.
- The Bobcats rallied five straight points to bring it even at eight with a mix of Falcon errors and STU attacks.
- Florida College went on to have a six-point lead at 20-14.
- Amanda Allende cut the threat and had St. Thomas regroup for what would later be a comeback set.
- With Melanie Chiquillo in service, STU had nine straight points to regain the lead and gain set point at 24-20.
- A service error from FC would give the Bobcats set two and a 2-0 lead in the match.
- The Bobcat defense picked up four big blocks in the evenly matched second set.
- Allende stayed hot in set three earning the first points for STU.
- Florida College rallied their way back into the game once again at eight all after having a three-point gap.
- Hope Leayv-Gaskins and Marian Cova would join in on the attack to give STU the space they would need to keep the match in their favor.
- The Falcons never scored more than two points straight in the third set, although not allowing the Bobcats to run off either.
- Fitting enough, Allende would have the final kill of the match to give STU the sweep over FC.
