  • St. Thomas hit an astonishing .552 hitting in the first set and only had two attack errors in 29 attempts.
  • Set two saw a little bit of a shift with Florida College coming out hot and taking a quick 5-1 advantage.
  • The Bobcats rallied five straight points to bring it even at eight with a mix of Falcon errors and STU attacks.
  • Florida College went on to have a six-point lead at 20-14.
  • Amanda Allende cut the threat and had St. Thomas regroup for what would later be a comeback set.
  • With Melanie Chiquillo in service, STU had nine straight points to regain the lead and gain set point at 24-20.
  • A service error from FC would give the Bobcats set two and a 2-0 lead in the match.
  • The Bobcat defense picked up four big blocks in the evenly matched second set.
  • Allende stayed hot in set three earning the first points for STU.
  • Florida College rallied their way back into the game once again at eight all after having a three-point gap.
  • Hope Leayv-Gaskins and Marian Cova would join in on the attack to give STU the space they would need to keep the match in their favor.
  • The Falcons never scored more than two points straight in the third set, although not allowing the Bobcats to run off either.
  • Fitting enough, Allende would have the final kill of the match to give STU the sweep over FC.
