MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (October 7, 2023)- The St. Thomas University (STU) Men's Soccer team beat the Florida Memorial Lions by a score of 3-1. The game had its fair share of ups and downs, with both teams showing moments of brilliance on the pitch.

The game started with a bang as
Nick In't Zand of the Bobcats found the back of the net just five minutes into the match. His precise strike gave STU an early lead and set the tone for an exciting contest.

As the game progressed, the Bobcats continued to dominate, with
Tomas Persico extending their lead in the 69th minute. This time, it was
Pascal Agostini who provided the crucial assist, setting up Persico for a clinical finish.

Florida Memorial was not to be outdone, and they fought back in the 78th minute. Brad Malik Tulley capitalized on a chance created by Jeremiah Johnson, pulling one back for the Lions and injecting new life into the match.

Just when it seemed like the Lions might mount a comeback, STU put the game to bed with a goal from
Guido Cacciabue in the 81st minute. Cacciabue's strike secured the victory for Bobcats and sealed the final scoreline.

In the end, it was the Bobcats who emerged victorious, showcasing their offensive prowess with some impressive goals. The Bobcats will be back in action Wednesday in Lakeland against Southeastern.
