MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (February 2, 2023) – The Fernandez Family Center gym holds thousands of memories to countless Bobcat greats. From broken records to historic wins to graduation and more, another special moment was added to the list tonight as Head Women's Basketball Coach Candace Walker notched her 100th career win.

This season has already made its mark in the history books earning the best start in program history after going 12-0 and giving Coach Walker a new win streak at 14-0. Thursday night added another check mark in the Walker Era in a journey that started six years ago. Two 20-win seasons, three national tournament appearances, a .606-win percentage, and five Sun Conference tournament appearances later we have made it to 100 wins.

The Bobcats welcomed Georgia foe, Thomas University (1-20, 0-12 SUN), to the 305 with an outstanding first quarter going for 32 points while shooting 60-percent from the field. Mya Moye has continued to hold the hot hand going for 11-points and hitting on 4-of-6 in just eight minutes of play. Bria Brown helped dish out four assists in the speedy offense.

Connieya Bradford and Brooke Bogatz led the offense in the second frame sending STU to the locker room with a 19-point advantage.

Coming back from the half, Moye had the offense fired up again going for eight-points playing in just half the quarter. Seven Bobcats recorded two-points or more in the third. The fourth was closed out and sealed the deal for Coach Walker and the Bobcats.

St. Thomas won every quarter of the day to take the big win.

Witt the 94-69 victory, the Bobcats pick up their 18th win on the year and ninth in conference that holds them at tied for second place.
