LAKE WALES, Fla. (March 11, 2023)- The St. Thomas University (STU) Baseball team picked up a victory over the Warner University Royals, followed by dropping another to Concordia University.
 
Bobcats vs. Royals

• Warner took an early win in the bottom of the first 1-0.
• The Bobcats got on the board in the top of the third, as Joey Thompson knocked a single to center field, which scored Eduard Mateo who singled prior.
• Warner responded by taking a 3-1 lead in the bottom of the third.
• A few innings would pass, but in the top of the sixth Kevin Moreno singled, which brought in Chris Schoeller who singled a few batters before.
• A couple batters later, Robin Fernandez kept his hot streak up hitting a single in which Brian Garcia got across the plate to tie it at 3.
• Robin Fernandez gave the Bobcats the 4-3 lead scoring from third on a wild pitch.
• In the 7^th, Kendry Noriega drilled one over the left field wall 5-3 Bobcats.
• Three batters later, Kevin Moreno stepped in the box and blasted one to left field for the two run homerun 7-3 STU.
• The Royals somehow found a way to tie it up at seven in the bottom of the seventh, to force it to extras.
• In the 8^th, Chris Schoeller was able to get a single to fall which got Lucas Lopez across the plate to win the game 8-7.

 
Bobcats vs. Bulldogs

• The Bobcats took an early six run lead in the first. Kendry Noriega hit a double, which scored Lucas Lopez and Joey Thompson.
• Three batters later Kevin Moreno knocked a double, which brought Kendry Noriega home.
• Robin Fernandez then stepped up and drilled one over the right field wall for the two run homer.
• Angelo Piloto then hit a solo home run right after, making it 6-0 STU.
• The Bulldongs responded with two in the bottom of the first.
• In the bottom of the third, the Bulldongs made it 6-5 Bobcats still leading.
• Concordia took a 7-6 lead in the fourth.
• The Bulldogs added one in the bottom of the sixth to make it 8-6 Bulldogs.
