Sarasota, Fla. – Less then 24 hours after being inducted in the St. Thomas University Athletics Hall of Fame,
Whitney Battoe achieved her second milestone of Homecoming Weekend on Saturday afternoon with her 100th career victory in the 10th-ranked Volleyball team's 3-0 (25-21, 25-16, 29-27) win at the New College of Florida.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Set 1 -Trailing late in the opening set 18-16, the Bobcats scored three-straight to reclaim the lead at 19-18 while responding to a New College of Florida point with four-straight to boast a 23-19 advantage.
- Set 2 – The Bobcats jumped out to a quick 7-1 lead, countering an 8-1 rally that flipped the advantage in the host favor with a 10-2 stretch to create an 18-11 score.
- Set 3 – STU used a late 4-1 spree to recreate their largest lead of the third set while forcing set point at 24-20, only for four-straight points for the home team knotting it up at 24-all. STU moved one point away from clinching the match at 25-24 and 27-26 before closing it out at 29-27.
NOTEWORTHY:
- Carolina Cruz paced the offense behind 11 kills while adding seven digs and two assisted blocks.
- Bianca Grassi anchored the defense behind 12 digs.
- Payton Bertke dished out a 36 assists with seven digs
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- STU finished the match with 45 kills on a .205 hitting percentage versus 33 kills on a .119 clip for the host.
- St. Thomas served three aces while NCF tallied one.
- The Bobcats tallied six assisted blocks, New College of Florida recorded two solo and 14 assisted.
- The Bobcats held a 51-50 advantage in digs.
