Miami Gardens, Fla. – Wrapping up the 2024 regular season on Saturday afternoon, the fourth-ranked St. Thomas Men's Soccer Team responded to a first half goal by visiting Ave Maria with three unanswered scores in a 3-2 non-conference victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:  

• Ave Maria took a 1-0 lead in the 22nd minute. 

• Nicolas Lund evened the score in the 26th minute off a pass from Brian Schieggg. 

• Guido Cacciabue connected with Bouget Bouzis in the 61st minute to push the Bobcats ahead 2-1. 

• Francisco Tolaba extended STU's lead to 3-1 in the 67th minute. 

• Ave made it a one-goal contest in the 75th minute. 

 
NOTEWORTHY: 

• Lund took five shots, three on target, en route to his third goal of the season. 

• Maurice Konig stopped one shot in 90 minutes. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE: 

• STU took 25 shots with seven on target, Ave Maria tallied four shots with three on goal. 

• The Bobcats held an 8-1 advantage in corner kicks.
