Miami Gardens, Fla. - The American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) announced its 2025 35 Under 35 class on Monday, with St. Thomas' Assistant Coach Drew Davis being chosen from a field off over 200 applicants.
The AFCA 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute is a prestigious program aimed at identifying and developing premier, future leaders in the football coaching profession. Selected participants are invited to attend the one-day institute that features a curriculum of interactive lectures focused on topics specifically tailored to emphasize leadership in the coaching profession, ethics, influential responsibilities, career progression, and family balance.
"I am extremely excited and honored to be selected to this year's AFCA 35 Under 35 Class," Davis said.
Working with the Bobcats' quarterbacks, STU rewrote the record book in 2024 with Keely Watson setting new marks behind 2,759 passing yards and 31 touchdowns to garner All-Sun Conference First Team honors. His numbers were the top in the Sun Conference at the conclusion of the regular season, while his primary target David Hayes was crowned the League's Offensive Player of the Year.
Fueled by a passing game that ranked 19th in the NAIA this fall, STU ranked in the top 10 for scoring with an average of 46.2 points during the regular season that placed eighth nationally. The Bobcats earned a first-round bye in the 2024 National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Championships as the fifth-ranked team after going 9-1 during the regular season.
