Miami Gardens, Fla. – Looking to make program history on Sunday afternoon, the 19 ranked St. Thomas volleyball team extended their season-opening win streak to a STU-record 11-straight wins behind a 3-2 triumph (25-17, 25-27, 25-20, 24-26, 15-10) over the University of Mobile before completing the weekend with a 3-0 non-conference sweep (25-7, 25-23, 25-19) of Webber International

HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 1):
- Set 1 -The Bobcats pulled away from Mobile in the opening set at 18-13 behind a 4-0 run, holding the visitors without another run of consecutive points for the rest of the frame.
- Set 2 – Trailing for most of the second set, STU evened the score at 23-all off a 5-0 rally and fended off two Rams' set points before Mobile tied the overall score at 1-1.
- Set 3 – Trailing late in the set 18-16, St. Thomas powered past Mobile using a 6-0 run to take a 22-18 lead and kept it for the duration of the stanza.
- Set 4 – Mobile used a late rally to pull ahead of STU 20-18, responding to the Bobcats' 3-0 rally with one of their own to maintain the advantage at 23-21. The Rams forced set point at 24-23 before forcing a fifth frame with a 26-24 score.
- Set 5 – After trading the opening 18 points of the deciding stanza, STU scored four-straight points to take a 13-9 lead before closing the match at 15-10.

- STU finished the match with 71 kills on a .259 hitting percentage versus 55 kills on a .147 clip for the Rams.
- St. Thomas served three aces while Mobile tallied nine.
- The Bobcats boasted four solo blocks with eight assisted, Mobile recorded one solo and 14 assisted.
- The Bobcats held a 74-60 advantage in digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 2):
- Set 1 -The Bobcats quickly created a double-digit advantage at 13-3, holding Webber without a run of consecutive points during the entire opening set.
- Set 2 – STU used a 5-0 run early in the second set to take an 8-5 lead, pushing the separation to seven at 14-7 before Webber rallied to even it at 14-all. The Bobcats scored the ensuing two points to keep the lead, doing so again after the Warriors knotted the score at 23-23.
- Set 3 – Trailing midway through the third set at 11-10, St. Thomas used a 5-1 run to pull ahead 15-12. Webber rallied to get within one at 18-17, only for four-straight points for STU pushing the lead to five at 22-17.
