Miami Gardens, Fla. – Behind a pair of top-five finishes from Martin Ahlstrom and Roger Reyes, the St. Thomas Men's Cross Country team took first place at their Bobcat Invitational over NCAA Division II's Lynn University and Palm Beach Atlantic.

HOW IT HAPPENED): 

• Ahlstrom posted a 26:58.46 time to place third.
• Reyes crossed the finish line fifth behind a 27:56:69 time.
• David Perez recorded a 27:58.00 run to finish seventh.
• Connor Glass and Jonathan Pitit-Frere finished back-to-back behind times of 28:29.33 and 28:33.25.
• Osvaldo Cruz crossed the finish line at the 28:38.56 mark.
• Deangelo Griffith (30:24.19), Christopher Reid (30.38.90), Darion Nelson (32:35.18), Jamari Benjamin (33:17.30) and Alberto Moreira (39:06.29) rounded out the Bobcats.

INSIDE THE RACE:

• The 8K race featured 41 runners from five teams.
