WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (September 28, 2024) - The (RV) St. Thomas University (STU) Women's Soccer team traveled to #2 Keiser University for a noon match up where they fell to the Seahawks 0-1. This marks the Bobcats first loss of the season, bringing their record to 4-1-3, and conference record to 2-1-1.
The Seahawks took charge to start the match up, notching four corner kicks in the first half along with six shots. But the Bobcats kept their defense strong, holding the Seahawks off. The game was scoreless as the clock ran out on half one.
Keiser took the lead early on in the second half, netting a goal in the 49th minute of the game. St. Thomas attempted to mount a comeback, notching five shots in the second half.
Isabella Penaranda picked up three saves after the break, bringing her total to five for the game. The Bobcats were unable to get on the board, falling to the Seahawks 0-1.
Up next, St. Thomas will head to Hialeah, Fla. for a non-conference match up against Florida National University on Tuesday, October 1st. Then, the Bobcats will have their second meeting with Florida Memorial University on Saturday, October 5th.Â
