Melbourne, Fla. - The St. Thomas University Men's and Women's Swimming and Diving Teams continued their 2025-26 'Relentless' campaign at the 1
st Annual Florida Institute of Technology Classic, winning on both the men's and women's side. The Bobcats were joined in the water by host Florida Institute of Technology and Barry University from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II as well as National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) powerhouse Indian River State College. The meet was swum in an invitational format, with the top 16 in each event scoring points for their team.

Standout Performances

Alessia Claassen won 2 events on the day (200 IM, 100 IM), scoring 57 points for the women's team. She also broke her own program record in the 100-yard IM (59.08).
- Katherine Gorno was the other event winner of the day, winning the women's 50-yard freestyle with a season-best 24.34.
- Samuel Yepes and Mert Basaran led the way for the men with 44 points scored each.
- Yepes swam a personal-best 2:04.35 in the 200-yard breaststroke, finishing second overall.
On Deck
The Bobcats host Ave Maria, College of the Florida Keys and New College of Florida for a Small College Quad for their home season opener on Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Miami-Dade North Aquatic Center.
